Gibson / Les Paul Standard (Goldtop) / 1968 / Gold-metallic / Guitar
1968 Gibson Les Paul Standard - GoldTop - incl. orig. case
Clean and nice 1968 Goldtop in near excllent good condition for its age and all original. Without any doubt the most desirable Les Paul - model after its discontinue in 1960. The guitar has very minor playwear and a pro-refret job. It had grover tuners at one time, the original Kluson "doublerings" are back on, no additional holes have been drilled. Only made in 1968, they feature a 1-piece mahagony-body, 1-piece mahagony neck, small 50s-Style headstock, correct headstock-angle, long neck-tennon.
Nice big/chunky neck profil and great playability, the sound is amazing, can be compared to a real ´50s P-90 Les Pauls. The two original Gibson "Soap-bar" P-90pickups are well balanced with following outputs: N = 8,61K-Ohm and Bridge: 8,72 K-Ohm. Fairly lightweight for that period of time, with a weight of 4,2 Kg. Comes in its orig. black hardshell case with yellow interior.
