This is a very rare original 4001 bass that was obviously special ordered in the beautiful see-thru cherry finish called “Burgandyglo”, this was a color that rarely was used in this period & it is the 1st we’ve seen, groovy checkerboard bound top sets off this combo & looks sensational, 1 “ factory Toaster” pickup & 1 powerful bass pickup make this bass sing !, add to that the crushed Pearl triangle inlays & this bass pops !, she is all original down to the factory Grover tuners & its lead pickup chrome cover often removed & lost, she is excellent overall & ready for its next caretaker, comes with its original black hard shell case.
