Music Fund is a Belgium based non-profit organization founded in 2005.
Music Fund supports young musicians and music schools in development countries and conflict areas. The organization coordinates collecting campaigns of musical instruments all over Europe and before distributing them, makes sure that they are repaired if necessary. This way hundreds of instruments are yearly sent to music schools in Africa and the Middle East – in Palestine (Nablus, Ramallah and Gaza), Israel (Nazareth and Tel Aviv), Mozambique (Maputo) and Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa).
Music Fund also organizes training programs teaching how to tune and repair musical instruments at workshops at the partner schools in Africa and the Middle East, as well as internships in Europe. Therefore Music Fund does not only organize donations of musical instruments, it also provides the know-how which allows people related to partner schools to tune and repair musical instruments themselves. Thereby partner schools become more independent of charitable organizations such as Music Fund and jobs are created.

At V&R we admire the important work of Music Fund. Therefore it makes us proud that V&R since 2011 has been the official Scandinavian ambassador and collecting point for Music Fund.
If you have any instruments which you no longer need and you wish to support a good cause, we encourage you to donate them by sending them to or dropping them off at our V&R office. Then we will make sure that Music Fund receives the instruments and repairs them if necessary before distributing them to music schools in Africa and The Middle East.
