About: Born in Caracas, Venezuela, I started making guitars and other stringed musical instruments as a result of a long search for an activity that bonds art, music and crafts. As a former advertising designer, trained in graphic and three-dimensional design, drawing and woodworking, I combined my job with the acquisition of knowledge and skill in instrument making. Master luthiers Claudio Lazcano and Oscar García (senior) taught me the secrets and techniques of Cuatro, Mandolin, Bandola and Classical Guitar construction. Currently living in Katy, Texas, I work almost exclusively on classical guitars under the traditional Spanish technique but in a constant search for the best sound.
