Why Aluminum?

Aluminum is not only the material of the present, but also and especially of the future.
It 's a completely recyclable material, thanks to recycling it’s possible to save up to 95% of the energy needed to extract it from bauxite.
So, it is not only an environmentally, friendly, very workable, lightweight, strong, and durable/lasting material with incredible and unique acoustical/mechanical characteristics, but also a valuable resource for future generations, and as such it should be treated and valued.

There are various kinds of Aluminum alloys, designed and used for many different purposes, in millions of products.
And there are several possible working methods to achieve, of course, different results depending on the use that must be done.
For our instruments we use a particular aeronautical alloy called Anticorodal, with extraordinary mechanical/acoustic properties.
In addition to the natural lightness, its structure is very strong and perfectly stable under stress (tension of the strings), thereby maintaining a solid and rigid structure that gives the wonderful tonal characteristics to our basses and guitars.
His behavior is very different from Wood, where hard and compact fiber, often gives brilliant tone and sometimes stingy bass frequencies.
Unlike Wood, in fact, the Aluminium is not subject to this phenomenon and the result is a very balanced, fat, warm and present tone, with crystal clear, airy and natural highs, and middle frequencies incredibly organic, present and rich in growl.
Our bodies also have a plenty of harmonics, endless sustain, a surprising attack and an incredible quality and definition of the sound spectrum.

The Aluminum we use is very expensive, like the processing stages and, finally, the finish.
If you want to buy an instrument so special and unique, you have also decided to believe in a specific philosophy, you decided to invest in your sound research to get something really unique and different, to expand the horizons of your creativity.
It’s impossible to find a cheap version of an instrument like this, as it's impossible to find a cheap handmade Wood instrument.
The quality, the research, the innovation and enthusiasm behind the creation of our Aluminium basses and guitars, are added values that have a cost...that is amply repaid by the enormous satisfaction that these instruments are able to give to the musician.
There aren't compromises, when someone offers cheap Aluminum instruments, sometimes so tempting, it’s better to get more information about what they really wants to offer you.
And thinking about the real need to invest in a stuff that may appear very attractive, but that has nothing to share with a real Aluminum's instrument.

To conclude, we answer to a specific question: Aluminum or Wood, which is the best choice?
We think and we are convinced, that none of the two materials is better or worse than the other, Aluminum and Wood have very specific characteristics and particular sounds, sometimes similar, sometimes opposite, that people love or hate. Some time ago we tried a '60s Jazz Bass, a beautiful instrument with a great voice, and we realized that an Aluminium body is really close to the wonderful features of 50 years old body.
In the end, we can say that only trying is really possible to understand and discover the infinite potentials and the wonderful qualities of this unique instrument...an Alusonic Aluminium Instrument.
