I offer a comprehensive range of premium quality flat-top acoustic instruments from my humidity and temperature controlled workshop in Richmond, located in the north of New Zealand’s spectacular South Island. Using a wide variety of the very best hand-picked, mature imported and native timbers and carefully selected quality fittings, I create instruments for clients from all over the globe, many of them professional musicians.
I specialise in producing a range of instruments that I call 'Celtic strings' that fulfil my long-held desire to put affordable, custom-crafted, premium-grade instruments into the hands of musicians around the world. As a working musician, I know what qualities I look for in a fine instrument: sound, playability and visual aesthetics. It is these qualities I aim for in the instruments I build.
Very occasionally I will have instruments in stock, though I much prefer to build to order, working with a client to create an individual instrument, 'tailored' just for them. No two instruments of mine will ever be identical.
