About: I've been in to making guitars for almost 30 years. It was the best ever made Martin D 45 that started it off. I just had to find out how to do it! Sweden can not brag with a guitarmaking tradition so it had to be self studies. The Western guitars I made I put (forced) in the hands of friends who where in to music and then I turned towards professional guitarists. I was really into folk music so I made some Irish bouzoukis and dulcimers as well. With a musical background of American music the obvious thing for Thomas Fredholm was of course to start his career as a Steel string guitarmaker. The purchase of a Martin Dreadnaught set the path of making guitars in the Martin tradition. In the early 90's Thomas left his Steel string making for Classical guitar making. He spent some 20 yearsin that sceene building up a network resulting in customers like David Russel and John Dearman of the Los Angeles guitar quartet. Around 2010 Thomas decided it was time for some Steel string making again. He has since spent his time focusing on making guitars with tonal qualities of the best of the Pre War Martins. Among his customers will you find guitarists like Andy Summers, Dan Tyminsi, Bryan Sutton, Zac Brown, Steve Earle, John Leventhal, Jim Salestrom, Eric Bibb, Will Kimbrough and Sofia Karlsson.
