I hand-craft Gus guitars and basses one at a time, to order. These are carbon fibre composite instruments, which combine carbon fibre with light-weight tonewoods, such as Western Red Cedar and Cedrella. This makes them light, strong and very resonant. They have excellent natural sustain and string-to-string clarity.
Obviously they also have a certain unique look, which developed from my early experiments with tubular metals. If you're looking for an instrument that will really stand out from the crowd, then a Gus will certainly do this for you. Pere ap Gwynedd (Pendulum) and Gus Isidore (Seal) are currently using my G1 guitars to good effect.
Everything I make is to custom order though I have a range of G1 guitar and G3 bass instruments that act as starting points for an order. I also make limited edition versions of my G1 guitar, dubbed 'Specials' which are based on colour themes. To date I have created the Purple and Gold Specials. These are strictly 'one-off' guitars. I have plans to create other colour themed Specials over the coming years.
