About: Rick Davis has been crafting Running Dog guitars since 1992, completing over 190 guitars. All reflect Rick’s respect for lutherie tradition and his studied, empirical approach to guitar building. Rick served as Director of ASIA and editor of “Guitarmaker” magazine for five years. He and his work are featured in Tim Brookes’ book, “Guitar: An American Life” and other publications. He and his partner, Cat Fox, share a studio in Seattle's Fremont district where they construct, restore, and repair a wide range of fretted instruments and teach classes in lutherie.
