Chambered bodied guitars are built with holes inside them, known as ‘weight relief holes’. These weight relief holes will affect the sound of the instrument. These weight relief holes can be implemented into almost all guitars and will change the music sound differently on each guitar model. Solid bodied guitars on the other hand, have no hollowness inside to accommodate vibration. Solid bodies are mainly used for electric guitars. Mainly made up of hardwood and lacquer, it can take up to 6 months for the wood to be ready to be shaped. The string vibrations are picked up and converted to an electric signal, then fed to an amplifier.
