Framus
Framus Acoustic Archtop Guitars For sale
German guitar company Framus produced guitars from 1946 until 1975. Framus made their first solid-bodied guitars in 1958 with the Hollywood, which was simply a revamp of a previously hollow-bodied guitar. Framus moved on to experiment with sound and electronics, creating guitars suited to play country music (the Memphis and Nashville models) as well as those with a special organ effect (the Electrona). Framus went bankrupt in the late 1970s, but the brand was bought and recreated in 1995 by Warwick GmbH & Company Music Equipment KG.
John Lennon, George Harrison, and Paul McCartney all played Framus guitars at one point, as did Bill Wyman.
