Vintage Clarinets Brass & Woodwind For sale

Clarinets are a part of the woodwind family, and use a single reed to produce their tone. Clarinets are fairly small instruments, and create a sound when someone blows into the pipe. Clarinets are the largest of all woodwind families with over a dozen types that create different tones, pitches and are designed for specific genres. Some clarinets are rarer and more obsolete then others, and thus have music only written for specific music genres.

The clarinet was created in the early 18th century by adding a register key to the earlier chalumeau. Over many decades the clarinet has become more playable and has better tones and pitches available. This is due to better key work and airtight pads being added. Clarinets are traditionally used in jazz and classic ensembles, but are still used in chamber groups and as a soloist. Clarinets can create many unique and diverse tones.

Vintageandrare.com has a great range of clarinets available, so it’s worth taking a look at what we have to offer on our listings. Clarinets can create beautiful soft music and they also are available in a variety of materials, such as wood and metal. The clarinet you want isn’t on our listings?
