About Peach Guitars
Situated at the beautiful Blake House Craft Centre in the heart of the Essex countryside, just 10 minutes drive from Stansted airport and the M11, Peach guitars offers a very different atmosphere from the usual high street stores. With easy free parking, convenient restaurant, craft stores and even a seasonal maze for the kids! No hustle and bustle, multi storey’s or long walks back to the car.
With genuine, friendly advice and a desire to help you find your perfect instrument in a relaxed environment, Peach stands apart from guitar shop attitudes you may have previously suffered!
A family owned and managed business since 1991, Peach Ideas started in a small unit at the centre selling vintage radio and metal detection equipment before expanding to include guitars. In 1996 it was decided to make a serious investment so that the instruments on offer would be comprehensive and unmatched locally. Expanding to include three entire units made the display of over 500 guitars possible.
In 2005 the Peach team welcomed back John Priest, who had previously worked with us since he left school. John had left to take up a post with Westside Distribution, the UK importer for Mesa Boogie, Martin, Godin, AER, etc. As Product Specialist Demonstrator and Area Sales Manager, John spent two years travelling the country, providing product training for both retail staff and the public at exhibitions. Known for his love of SRV and Strat style guitars, his knowledge is second to none. In 2006 John became a partner in the Peach guitar business, moving to full ownership by the end of the year. It is his taste and passion for guitars that dictates the stores inventory and, thus, our established reputation for quality and service. Just ask anyone who has set foot in store!
