/ Masaru Kohno, Concert Model, EC, OHC / 1982 / Guitar
This is a 1982 professional Concert level Guitar made by Masaru Kohno. Masaru Kohno is without competition Japan\'s most recognized luthier. Understanding the Typing of Kohno needs some further explanation. From around 1963 to 1982, Kohno used numbers for their models. The model numbers indicated retail prices in Japan. No.20 was sold at Japanese Yen 200,000, an number 5 at JPY50000. But the system was outdating it selves when time passes and economy grew and huge inflation set in. So it might well be that a no 5 of the early sixties is of a higher Level then say number 15 of the early 80s. The number system simply didn\'t work anymore. After 1982 the name Kohno was only used only for their finest Classical guitars with this being a Concert level model and one of the first falling in the category. This is a first rate concert guitar with beautiful details, excellent tuners, impressive hand made purflings for soundhole and border, Indian rosewood Back and sides, Mastergrade Cedar soundboard, 650mm Scale, 50 mm width at the nut, excellent playabillity with some 4.5mm action on the 12th fret and a straight neck. The guitar is in EC condition, with minimal wear to the frets, no cracks and only minimal playwear. Typical Kohno strong presence and dynamics, unlike any other guitar and a impressive overall sound. Included is the original case.
The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out.
