This has got to be one of the most desirable of Alembic Basses ever produced, this Long Scale Bass made famous by John Entwistle, Marcus Miller, Mark King & none other than my mentor, Stanley Clark, whom I personally learned every lick from Clarke’s “School Days” album back in 1976, this is an early production bass, its made with a wonderful combo starting w/front & back laminations of the most desirable choice of woods, quilted Maple w/a 5 piece body & center core, its neck-thru body is constructed from 7 pieces of maple & purple heart, its front & back laminations of its headstock are a matched set of Quilted Maple, its got stock Series II electronics w/its dummy-hum center pickup that go thru its DS-5 power supply making what most people say is the ultimate bass tone on Earth, I can agree, new list base price is in excess of $32,000. today, Even discounted in pounds the UK…its $27,505. discounted.
