The Junkie is a small compact clean booster/preamp powered by a single JFET transistor in a “class A” configuration. It delivers up to 24dB of clean gain without changing the original signal's sound. It doesn’t add any “grit” or clipping, the sound is very very clean but it imparts a goodness to your tone that is hard to describe. The frequency response is full, it does not cut any bass or roll off any highs. The Junkie doesn't change the tone of your guitar and other effects, it just make them better! Use the Junkie as a straight forward boost pushing your amp, drive your preamp tubes to the max, as a line buffer/driver, as a gain tool in front of your pedals, drive another pedal harder, as a volume boost after your pedals or even in your effects loop on your amplifier for killer power amp boost! The Junkie can also be used directly to mixers/recorders with high fidelity results. It also designed to be used either as a preamp at the beginning of your chain or for other low-level insruments/pickups. We strongly recommend this pedal for those who play tube amplifiers.

We don’t perform mods or upgrades on other products than Alen Geere. All Alen Geere products designed and tested with feedback from professional musicians.
We are not a boutique seller. We are a company just producing in small batches beter than boutique-quality. In this way we reduce the unit cost. We are doing all the production ourselves. Designing, pcb making, machining, painting, screen printing, soldering, assembling, testing, packaging. And this is reflected in our prices.
