We are proud to introduce Atkin Guitars to the Continent of Europe. Alistar Atkin is a young but highly regarded upcoming Luthier from the UK. After we picked up the good news that Alister and his crew were rewarded Acoustic Guitar Award Winner last year we decided to order a few of his magnificent slope shoulder guitars.
This Atkin J-35, that he revers to as 'Thinline series' has been designed to bring you the comfort and ease of playing a big bodied guitar but with OM depth. Typically a J-45 is 125mm deep and this Thinline J-45s is only 105mm deep. This depth makes the J-45 much more attractive, without compromising the typical J-35/J-45 feel and tone. The J-35 is similar to the J-45 but with a 12 fret neck joint, the sound hole has been moved closer to the waist which some people consider to be the sweet spot, it also brings the bridge into the middle of the lower bouts. We are very pleased with the two first Atkin guitars, they truly deliver what we expected them too!
