Custom features/Upgrades/Remarks: Fully custom made
The Kingfisher is considered one of Andy's finest guitars, a 12 fret Ragtime guitar with a body-size somewhere between double O and triple O, Featuring indian Rosewood back and sides, Reclaimed Brazilian Mahogany Neck, matured European Spruce top, Ebony Fingerboard and bridge, blistered maple binding and ebony headstock facing on the Slotted headstock, multiple wood Trim, Abalone rosette, ebony heel cap, Pearl Andy Manson script logo headstock inlay. 635mm (25") scale length, 48mm (1 7/8") width at the nut, and 60mm (2 3/8") string spacing at the bridge. Waverly sloan engraved quality tuners, C shaped neck. Most special is the shaping of the body, that is simply very stylish, minimalistic and sort of intimate and only by looking at the guitar you feel it's familiar and very special.
This guitar is build by a Man that build his first guitar in 1967, and gained great fame among accomplished guitar players. Getting older Andy moved from England to the more inspiring climate of Portugal. He's one of very few truly gifted guitar-making-magicians on this planet. I know many of our followers won't ever be able to visit our shop, but if you ever have chance to play an Andy Manson guitar, don't hesitate!!
This Kingfisher is an impressive big sounding guitar for being only 366mm wide(14 2/5") and 90mm deep (3.54"), it's a great ragtime guitar with impressive depth, and with typical Andy Manson guitar character that i find truly unique, hard to compare, but if you do it's more towards 'American' than 'European' with a unique mixture in substance, complexity and refinement that i haven't found in other 12 frets. The guitar is capable of any style, and has no problems when it's drop-tuned. Due to the very open structure oil varnish this guitar has a unique tonal flavour and openness with a very crisp open bass, and clearness also higher up the frets. This guitar is made by a magician for a truly gifted or demanding player.

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
