I have been a great admirer of Andy Manson for many years, his Artistry and Philosophy on guitars are inspiring and unique in the world of guitar-making.
Andy Manson started playing the guitar at young age, and started making guitars around the year of 1967. His passion for playing the guitar developed further to a passion for manufacturing instruments and he began constructing guitars. Many famous players from both the classical guitar world and steelstring world play his guitars for their unique tone and feel, and the list of famous artists is endless. Andy Summers (Police) Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) Ian Anderson and for instant Don Felder (Eagles) to name only a few are on the long list of returning famous musical clients. This particular guitar has a wonderful, fine grained German spruce top, Back and sides are made of Walnut, the neck is made of spanisch Cedar, and it holds many typical stylish Andy Manson details, such as the beautiful Rosette, the use of very old Indian rosewood for the bridge, headstock overlay, heelcap, endsplice. The tonal combination provides a beautiful bright sound that is at the same time transparent and rounded with an almost 'vintage' character, and is very inspiring when played. The weight of the guitar is intriguing low, only a bit over a kilogram contributing to the general feel and the remarkable tone. It responds to a very light touch. This is a full oil varnish guitar with exceptional playability, that is at the same time very articulate and focused with a profound bass response, exceptional balance and unique character. travels in a Quality case and comes with full warranty.
