Atkin / 00037 Custom Mahogany / 2023 / Guitar For Sale

Atkin's 000 model has the same dimensions as an OM (Orchestra Model), but like the model it’s based on, it has a slightly shorter scale length. This gives it a much looser feel and sound, producing a fuller tone than the punchy and bright Orchestra Model would. This makes the 000 a personal favorite for blues players like Eric Clapton, as bending notes is much easier than on an OM. While Atkin has long proven that the brand can build guitars like no other, perhaps the most impressive aspect of Atkin Guitars is its aging process. The passion with which these instruments are made shines through, and it’s hard not to fall in love with both the sound and the appearance! In 2011, Alister Atkin started "baking" his guitar tops with the express purpose of improving stability. Baking, or torrefaction, reduces the moisture content and crystallizes the resins in the grain—a process that happens naturally over many years and was long seen as the reason vintage guitars sound so great. Atkin has certainly mastered the art of baking these tops, and you could even say the brand is now famous for it. This all-mahogany guitar has a full, rich, and dry sound with plenty of power in the midrange, while still preserving enough warmth and openness across all the strings to satisfy any guitarist. The bass has a piano-like articulation, while the treble is beautifully rounded! Aside from its aged appearance, this Atkin has only minimal playwear, mostly on its pickguard. It still looks incredibly clean and is in excellent condition. This Atkin comes with a certificate of authenticity and a TKL case.

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
