This is a rare Brook Tavy Fan Fret, would i be able to play a fan fret, i can only state honestly 'sure' you get used to it in a split second. The main aim of the design is to increase bass depth through increasing the string length on the bass side, while at the same time achieving more ‘bell like’ trebles by shortening the string length on the treble side. The chosen string lengths allow any player to quickly adapt to the fan fret design, in the middle the scale is 650mm, on the low bass side approx. 680mm and on the treble side approx. 635mm. Truly this guitar is a dream to play and sounds piano like and distinctive sophisticated 'British' with a bit of Celtic clarity to it. The woodworking details are impressive, with nice details like rosewood binding and Herringbone Purfling and soundhole decoration, ebony fingerboard ans slanted bridge, the guitar is equipped with a Fishman matrix infinity pickup with easy access to the battery compartment. It measures 44.9mm (1 3/4") nut width, 58mm (2 5/16") string spacing, 420mm (16.54") width at the lower bout and 120mm(4 3/4") Depth and it comes with original case.
