Blazer & Henkes J-45 Maple & Alpine Spruce, Amber Sunburst, OHC, EC

This is one of the most impressive J-45 models you will find on the market these days, The Blazer & Henkes J-45 Maple, actually Made by Rudi Blazer, based on the Gibson 1940's J-45 model, of which only a handful were produced with maple back and sides between 1942 and 1945. Blazer & Henkes are known for being the absolute top in their field, and these days named in one breath with Wayne Henderson who's used guitars sell up to 25$k. Wayne's guitars and B&H guitars share a similar quality, there is a snap in the tone that is unique and only found in very good guitars. B&H are also known for restoring many fine pre-war Martin & Gibson guitars. And they are to be leading experts when it comes to vintage Gibson guitars. I often ask for Willi's expertise when I can't figure out the exact data of an old guitar.

This guitar is amazing, matured maple is perhaps one of the finest tonewoods for back and sides on the planet, as it produces a warm crispness that is unique for maple. Of course the top is made of matured Alpine spruce, the signature wood for B&H. The guitar is extremely responsive and most powerful with a strong warm bass, great volume and impressive dynamics. Featuring a mahogany neck, bound brazilian rosewood fingerboard and belly bridge,  kluson style tuners, flame maple headstock overlay, Scalloped bracing, cream body binding, multiple b/w top purfling, simple ebony-maple centre-seam back strip, fire-stripe Pickguard, pearl headstock logo, dot fingerboard inlays, Ivoroid side dots, black pins, 44.2mm (1-3/4”) nut width, 628mm (24 3/4") scale length, C shape neck, not really firm, of course the whole guitar is full hide-glued construction in the traditional manor. The stained vintage sunburst is most delicate and very thin, comes with case.

The guitar is in excellent to excellent+ condition and doesn't have any significant playwear.
