The asymmetric overdrive circuit inherited from the OD-1 is adopted, and a tone control that can boost/cut in the high range is newly equipped. Due to the change in the details of the circuit, it has a slightly high gain and solid texture compared to OD-1. It creates sweet and mild distortion without killing a subtle picking nuance. The installed operational amplifier is JRC4558DD (glossy), and there are other NEC C4558C 'installed in the very early stage and JRC4558D mounted around 1982. The SD-1 has been manufactured in Japan until the middle of 1989, and then moved its production line to Taiwan. You can see the feeling of use as a whole, but there is no problem with the operation.
