The Bourgeois line of Boutique Built Flat Tops from Lewiston, Maine, are 1 of our personal favs for their build quality & sheer good looks. Dana Bourgeois perfected his Large D-Soundhole design making most every one he makes simply incredible. This example was completed on October 18, 2016 bearing # 7532. Its made completely by hand to exacting specs using an Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce Top w/an abolone sound hole rosette & top outer border bound in Cocobolo. Its also sporting an exceptional selection of incredibly book matched “Master Grade” Brazilian Rosewood for its back & side panels. Its Mahogany neck has a Brazilian headstock overlay w/a Floral inlaid Ebony Fingerboard bound w/figured cocobolo & an inlaid Ebony belly bridge making for a strikingly beautiful instrument. Its got a set of Waverly Gold Tuners w/Snakewood buttons. Its Label is hand signed by Dana telling the whole list of options. Complete w/a set of Antique Walrus string pins. Its nut width is 1 23/32 Its pickup system was added & is flawless, its tone & projectivity are beyond words. New this is well over $20K. List. It’s a near mint overall example of Dana’s best work, some cool paperwork & comes in its original massive hard case w/a soft storage cover.
