Bozo Podunanvac is a Serbian born master luthier who immigrated to the U.S. in 1959. He served his apprenticeship with master luthier Milutin Miadenovic and graduated in 1950, these days he's a highly acclaimed and also famous Luthier who lives in the US, among his customers are many of the great artists. In the mid-1970s, Bozo Podunavac licensed the designs for his instruments to a well known Japanese firm that of mr. Yairi, which built them to his specifications. Both Mr. Yairi and Mr. Podunanvac are way in theri 80s at the moment I write this, and both are still active as Luthier. The B80SC is after the B100 the most striking guitar in appearance and one of the rare Bozo's Bell Western dreadnought-style instruments with cutaway. The Guitar is built on a high level, with a solid spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck. It's made back in the mid 1970s by Yairi and his small team of luthiers, the same factory that still makes wonderful guitars, but did some real top of the line guitars back in the 1970s. Meticulous craftsmanship combined to a great tone, with unusual bell shape body that is a combination of Dreadnought and Jumbo.
This guitar is in excellent condition, the bridge is shaved a bit. It has a Fishman pu installed, The guitar measures 410mm width at the Lower bout, 120mm depth at the tail block, 43,3mm Nut width, and 56mm String Spacing at the bridge, 645mm scale length. beautiful marquetry inlays, and double herringbone trim, pearl headstock inlay, diamond and square fingerboard inlays. Comes with original case.
