It is based on Gibson's 1954 Les Paul with a bar tailpiece bridge, and the rear pickup is extremely close to the bridge, giving the rear position a very trebly and attacked sound.
Originally, Gibson used a gold top for this period, but this FLG-75 is entirely black.
This model is a good representation of the atmosphere of Jeff Beck's favourite 1954 Gibson Les Paul, known as the 'Oxblood'.
