This is a fabulous example of what Martin specialized in…making such fabulous sounding small bodied models of all types. This is a very special early production 0-18 made in late 1933 in all original clean shape 1 of just a few 14-Fret neck models available. Its Spruce top is clean that’s been played a bit w/no repairs. It still has all of its original scalloped braces. Its Mahogany back & sides are absolutely crack free. Its 1 piece neck feels very comfy w/its prominent smooth “V” shape, plays great & has an excellent neck angle. It sports a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood headstock veneer w/no logo which is stamped on the back of its headstock. Its original open back nickel plated metal button tuners are clean & hold tune well. Its Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard & bridge are still quite nice. Amazingly she still retains her original “Bar” Frets which Martin stopped by mid-1934 when they started using the more modern “T” shaped frets. If you ever wanted a killer sounding 88 year old great playing 0 size Martin…this is it. Other than its original bridge is slightly shaved down, she’s excellent overall & comes a vintage brown soft shell case.
