This is an amazing find & a great example of what Martin specialized in…making such fabulous sounding Dreadnaught models of all types. This is a very special 50 year old D-41 model in excellent all original shape. This is the 1 of the coolest early production D-41’s having a super clean very grainy Spruce top w/tons of pretty abalone trim around its top & rosette. It’s still sporting its original clear lacquered pickgard. Its book matched Indian Rosewood back & sides are simply stunning w/colorful stripes down both panels. Its bound headstock w/its large pearl inlaid Martin logo is stunning. Its 1 piece mahogany neck is the perfect size that plays great & has a user friendly neck angle. Its colorful Abalone Block inlaid bound ebony fingerboard & bridge are also perfect w/no issues. Its original gold Grover tuners hold tune well. This is a dream guitar for most anyone seriously wanting a great D-41 w/super sound quality. Its Incredible ! She’s truly excellent overall & comes in a nice newer hard case.
