Carvin / DC-135 / Blueburst / Guitar For Sale
This guitar needs a bit of TLC. The input jack is intermittent (will need to be replaced) and the two bottom black knobs do not make a difference in the tone. They are the Acoustic (Piezo) Tone knob and the Electric (Magnetic) Tone knobs. I don't know if the piezo is not working or the preamp board they are mounted to is inoperable. Everything else works properly and the guitar sounds and plays great. That said, the guitar is priced accordingly and is being sold as-is.
I remember getting those 3/4 size Carvin catalogs in the mal for years and when I could take it no more, I called up and designed my dream bass: A doubleneck with fretted and fretless necks. I added all the bells and whistles and when all the soup had been boiled, it was going to cost around $1700.00 to get the bass and thus, my dream ended there. That was back in the days when I couldn't afford to change my mind and I don't know what I was thinking to begin with, but at least the idea was there. Those old Carvin basses and guitars played and sounded great, as they still do today.
Flash forward to today: This blueburst DC-135 is a classic shredder with serial number 63682. Hopefully, the guys in the know can help me date this bad boy. The Ebony fretboard is nice and dark and is adorned with stainless steel frets that show no wear. Now, let's get to the condition: There are no less than one quadrillion surface scratches, pick swirls and small, pintip dings on this guitar. It has obviously seen more than its share of hard rock stages and played thousands of songs. But, by its playability and tone, I can understand why. I like 'em played anyway- at least you know you're getting a proven soldier and that would make this DC a battle-hardened warrior!
We've detailed the guitar and case, restrung it with fresh strings and checked all operations, so you'll be receiving an axe that's ready to go, straight out of the box. Please take a look at the pictures, let us know if you have any questions and as always, we thank you for stopping by!
