Collings / C-10 Sunburst Sitka Spruce & Mahogany / 2013 / Guitar

Collings C-10 Sunburst (new) Sitka Spruce & Mahogany, Case, COA,

Collings C10 Sunburst. Not many guitars in the world are cooler, more comfortable and more typical than this Collings C-10. The C10 is based on the 1930's Gibson L00, but taken a big step further on the road, it's a small and comfortable guitar, with a relatively small lower bout, even smaller upper bout and a narrow waist very comfortable to play anywhere from Couch to Stage. The C-10 is a dream to play, with a powerful midsection, tonally very focussed, but still with the great quality of delivering a crisp bass response, often muddy in other guitars, and equally impressive mellow treble response that is often raspy in other guitars. Despite it's small size it's big and lush sounding, but with a bit of that old time bluesie character that feels like having a reverb on board. The guitar features a Selected Sitka Spruce top and Premium Honduras Mahogany back and sides. Over the years we learned Sitka spruce has a rounder less bright response compared to Adirondack spruce that gives a brighter more punchy response. Not often the best quality for gentle players who seek definition and matured tones common to Sitka Spruce that automatically delivers a warm and round tone.

This C-10 looks very 'Deluxe' with it's sunburst finish, but it isn't, it's a standard Collings C10 with Mahogany b/s, and a comfortable fingerstyle worthy wide 44.5mm (1 3/4") nut width. The Vintage looking sunburst finish on top of this guitar is strong and resistant, but still open structure nitro cellulose finish, Once you get used to a C10 it's hard to let go, it's a versatile instrument of top-Quality, and they are simply amazing guitars to play and mature vastly while played. Check out youtube with several recordings. 650mm(25.5") scale length(mensuur/Mensur), 44.5mm (1 3/4") Width at the nut(halsbreedte/Halsbreitte), 57mm Stringspacing at the saddle. Including COA, Case and including 21% BTW/VAT/MWST (fully deductible on Purchase for outside EC buyers) Includes 5 year Collings/TFOA warranty to the original owner.

Collings Description: Based on guitars first introduced around the same time as the OM, the Collings C10 is a leaner alternative, with the narrow waist and small upper bout resulting in a precise, focused response. Of all our acoustic models, the C10 is perhaps the easiest for electric guitarists to adapt to, thanks in part to the more rounded neck profile. The small oval neck heel is ideally suited to the optional cutaway, which allows unrestricted access to the upper frets. With its unique shape and asymmetrical headstock's lines echoed in the curvilinear pickguard, C10 models offer a welcome alternative for those who find that most small acoustic guitars look too much alike.

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
