Collings D-2HMrA (recent) D-2H Madagascar - Adirondack, Case, NM/M
Slowly Collings is Spreading his fame of being the number 'must have' Guitar over Europe. And not only by flatpickers, no also Mandolin & Ukelele players, and also Electric Guitar players consider the Collings the holy grail of Guitars. When it comes to flattops many American Players concluded allready there has never been a better made guitar, except maybe for the early 1930's and 1940s Herringbone dreadnoughts made by Martin. But they come with price-tags starting at a staggering 75.000€ and are only for the lucky few who can afford one.
This extremely rare Collings D2HMRA (Collings stopped exporting Madagascar rosewood in 2011) is constructed with all the knowledge Bill Collings gathered over the years and maybe considered equal to its pre-war opponents. The good man at Colling let me have first choice with the Premium Madagascar from their Wood-library...and woow it worked out well! Madagascar is considered similar to Brazilian Rosewood when it comes to Tone-Quality, But it it is even more stunning in looks, and a lot sturdier, than for instant Brazilian that tends to break easy. Madagascar won't unless you really mistreat it! The incredible set of AAA grade Madagascar Rosewood used for back and sides is stunning quarter sawn and shows a smashing grain. But more important are the tone qualities, the combination with Adirondack spruce, provides for a deep dark growl, unmatched crispness, stunning balance and superiour projection. The red spruce/Adirondack is simply grained perfect. Most striking when you play the guitar is its incredible deepness. If you strum it hard, you expect it will refuse to give back what you have put to it, but this guitar only lets you know you will have to work much harder to find its limits! This D2HMRA invites you to explore its endless dynamic range and your limits! Other features, 45mm (1 3/4″) width at the nut, 650mm (25 1/2") scale, Honduran Mahogany neck, Waverly tuners, ebony fingerboard with diamond and square inlays, ebony bridge, Herringbone purfling. Collings no long offers Brazilian Rosewood in its standard range and they won't send it to Europe due to the strict custom regulations, but once you play this guitar i'm sure you agree when is say, 'who needs brazilian?!' Included are the Collings Hardcase and Certificate. Pre-owned but near mint to mint condition. (for your reference: Sold new at around 6500 Euro.)

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
