Collings OM-3BaA (2005) Ancient brazilian rosewood-Adirondack, OHC, NM/M
2005 Collings OM-3BaA, serial #11290 in other words, this is the best Collings Makes, B stands for amazing quarter sawn (a) quality Brazilian Rosewood available from Collings and the A stands for Adirondack spruce, The OM-3 series is equipped with Bound neck and headstock and Abalone soundhole rosette. Collings guitars no longer use Brazilian rosewood. This "Holy Grail" of tonewoods is without question producing the best tone I think in any resonating instrument. There is certain kind of magic resonance, deepness, warmth and definition in Brazilian rosewood guitars that makes them stand out. And yes, the difference between Indian rosewood and Brazilian rosewood is evident!
Most Brazilian rosewood guitars are bought or collected by fortunate guitar aficionados and only of an on one comes up for sale. Finding one in Europe is like finding a needle in a haystack! But we found one. Featuring: Straight-Grained and beautifully chocolate coloured Brazilian Rosewood Back & Sides, Master-Grade Adirondack Top, 45mm (1 3/4") Nut width, 56 (2 1/8") string-spacing, 650mm (25.5") scale length, bound ebony fingerboard with dot inlay, bound brazilian rosewood peghead with pearl Collings logo, tortoise plastic Pickguard, and as an extra equipped with deluxe Calton case in white.
Most striking when you play a Brazilian rosewood guitar is its incredible deepness. If you strum it hard, you expect it will refuse to give back what you have put to it, but guitars made with Brazilian rosewood simply have unlimted headroom and don't hold back, especially when matured and played you notice the mythe is true. Condition: simply Near Mint/Mint condition, no dings, dongs or scratches. And it's a very comfortable guitar to play, handy at the kitchen table or on the Couch, ideal for singer-songwriting, but ideal for on stage or recording also. A guitar that will hold up in the mix, and record very well. Although most people will use it for fingerstyle or a bit of picking, playing, i like strumming OM models with their strong midsection, beautiful powerful rounded trebles, deep and warm crispy bass, a very versatile guitar, it's like playing with a porsche on the race-track. A mighty guitar, very defined and brilliant, complex and intregiung. A true ''Grand guitar" with simply gorgeous looks and impressive tone and a rare chance. With -solid as a rock- Calton travel case. But if you want we change to Collings case!

The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
