D'angelico Guitars / New Yorker #10 Of 19 / 1993 / Blonde Finish / Guitar

This D’Angelico New Yorker is #10 of the 19 D’Angelico Guitars Heritage Guitar agreed to make in 93. The name D’Angelico was up for grabs for a few years & after master craftsman Jim Triggs stint w/the company, they looked towards Heritage Guitars to continue the hand made D’A guitars between 1993 – 1995 prior to selling the name off once again. This New Yorker has a 18″ lower bout, hand carved spruce top, beautifully carved flame maple back & sides and a stunning flamey maple neck. Its Ebony fingerboard has Mother of Pearl block inlays w/an abalone inlay surrounded by a black painted stinger on the back of its headstock. Add to it a period correct multi laminated tortoiseshell pickgard & voila. It’s got a floating Gibson black coil pick up. Its white oval label is signed by all 4 owners of Heritage Guitars including Marvin Lamb, Jim Duerloo, Bill Paige &  J.P. Moats who participated in every aspect of this NY’er when completed in 1993. This guitar is in all respects, a genuine D’Angelico New Yorker model, in terms of sound and playability it’s more like a Top of the line Gibson Super 400, or an L-5C w/all D’Angelico New Yorker appointments along w/its huge Headstock sporting its gold “Pinnacle”. It’s a pure American made iconic Jazz Guitar that any pro player would salivate over. It’s truly near mint & perhaps the best example on the market of what became D’Angelicos last real shot & w/only 19 examples that exist today…this Blonde is 1 of the best. It comes complete w/its original black hard case.
