DiMauro / Antoine DiMauro Jazz Special Chorus Deluxe, Sunburst, Gypsy Jazz, Rare / 1940 / Sunburst / Guitar
1940's Antoine DiMauro Jazz Special Chorus deluxe, Sunburst, Gypsy Jazz, Rare, Original case, VG/EC
Last time i seen one of these Antoine DiMauro Jazz Chorus i said, "Once in a while something really rare turns up" but i have to add, this Antoine DiMauro Special Jazz Chorus Deluxe really outdoes the rarity of the last one we had. It's a deluxe version with armrest and pickguard, in a special kind of shaded sunburst, we haven't figured out how to mount the pickguard exactly but it corresponds with the F-Hole, it also shows the original matching armrest. This is an amazing guitar, with amazing sound, nothing like a Selmer, Favino or for instant a Busato, but tonally probably even more intriguing being different, and still a typical high end Gypsy Jazz guitar. The guitar features a big and chunky neck to start with, solid spruce top, flame maple back and sides, 3 piece maple neck with walnut centrepiece, original SB tuners and original tailpiece, original ebony bridge and Ebony Fingerboard with big Pearl diamond inlays. A magnificent guitar and extremely collectible. These guitars, and their builder Antoine, certainly deserve great credit for their unique assets to Gypsy Jazz. Overall the guitar is in excellent Condition, one topcrack running along the fingerboard is repaired, another surface crack on the lower bout doesn't seem to be through the wood, but has been for security reasons blocked from the inside. The overall condition is excellent, the finish is still intact and fully original, not completely sure about the bridge, but I've seen similar on other DiMauro guitars, the playability is excellent. 45mm neck width, 640mm scale, It has the Bark and attack you like to hear in a vintage Gypsy jazz guitar, Superb Volume and huge woodiness, extremely open and vibrant, all the right Gypsy jazz dymanics. This is a great sounding and playing example of one the rarest DiMauro's gypsy guitars on the planet that find more and more appreciation among collectors and players. Among others Eric Clapton and Pat Metheny are proud owners of one of these very rare guitars. comes in what looks like the original case.
The Fellowship Of Acoustics, Netherlands
ABOUT US
I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
