Epiphone / Coronet / 1963 / Cherry / Guitar For Sale
Now available, a clean example of a 1963 Epiphone Coronet in its original cherry finish with factory headstock stinger!
This guitar basically represents the 'junior' of the Kalamazoo made solid-body Epiphone line-up, being the last year to feature the shorter headstock, and wide 1&11/16" nut width.
It remains in fantastic condition really, showing only light signs of play wear to the back of the neck, and some light buckle rash to the back of the body. The guitar has had NO breaks or repairs to the body or neck, with the only damage to note being a crack to one corner of the pickguard. This guitar is marked with a '2' above the serial number, meaning it was a factory 2nd (probably why this example has a stinger).
The guitar retains all of its original parts right down to the tuner tips, frets and nut which are in great condition. The original dogear p90 is strong, with all of the electronics being fully functional and remaining untouched. The neck is straight, with the guitar having a low easy playing action. All of the plastics and hardware remain original including the original brass post strip kluson deluxe tuners, and the compensated wraparound tailpiece.
A great example of an early Epiphone Coronet! Includes its original softcase with no handle.
