Epiphone / Crestwood Custom / 1962 / Cherry Red / Guitar
This really is a stunning guitar. Not only is it near MINT and all original it is a joy to play with a nice fast, slick ebony fingerboard. Sounds amazing with original Epiphone PAF pickups and weighs hardly anything. Even the trem stays in tune and for those wanting that something a little different it is ideal.
Original vintage 1962 Epiphone Crestwood Custom, made by Gibson, alongside the Gibson's of the day on the same production line and is as good as any solid body Gibson you will find from this period. The workmanship is really, totally brilliant.
This is a near mint guitar. There are just a few clear coat dings here and there but nothing too serious at all. The finish is still vibrant and the nickel hardware is still gleaming, I doubt if you would find a finer example available at this price...
The Crestwood has undergone a few changes in it's lineage but this original 1962 version is THE version to get of this amazing guitar and is the version that the later re-issues were modelled on. Later on the body became asymmetric and the three a side headstock was replaced with the ugly Fender type six in line. This one, in my opinion, is style and elegance personified and is also, a very capable axe.
Hardly any fret wear, no fingerboard wear and original frets. Very low and fast action, it's one of those guitars that almost plays itself and even acoustically it is vibrant, loud and sounds real good which is always a good sign.
One of my personal favourite guitars that I have here at the moment - so go and and spoil my fun and steal it from me at this price...
