This is a lovely 1948 Epiphone DeLuxe Archtop Acoustic guitar, serial# 57613, in sunburst. Another early Epi Gibby treat from Guitars West. The back of this beauty is solid hand-carved tiger-flame figured Maple back, the sides are Birdseye Maple and the top is solid bookmatched handcarved Spruce. The neck is solid flame Maple with Mother of Pearl "Cloud" fingerboard inlay. The headstock is inlayed with Epiphone's infamous "Tree of Life" design. The fingerboard is bound Brazilian Rosewood. The F-holes and headstock are also bound. She has a superficial split running from the body to the F-hole. The guitar has typical scratches and scuffs. Remember, she's over 70 years old! There has been a repair done to the heel, but she's sound and ready to be played.
