Epiphone / F.T. 79 / 1957 / Honey'burst / Guitar

This is a real cool & clean 1957 Epiphone F.T. 79. Its pretty Ice Tea’burst finish covers a unique shaped double bound dreadnaught style body w/more rounded shoulders & slimmer hips w/a nice Spruce top. Its mahogany stained arched maple back and sides are clean w/no cracks ever. Its headstock sports the Epiphone “Tin” 50’s Logo. Its 1 piece mahogany neck has a nice dot inlaid unbound rosewood fingerboard. She came w/its original set of open back Deluxe Tuners w/butter bean buttons. The frets are in excellent shape. The original rosewood bridge is perfectly intact. Complete w/its cool shaped tortoiseshell pickgard (its original “E” is in its case). It plays very well with an unusually deep, rich tone w/plenty of volume. It’s quite a clean example, very solid w/no repairs ever other than a few pieces of white bindings in need of replacement in our shop as we speak. This F.T.79 was the predecessor to the infamous Texan model made famous by the Fab 4. Its excellent overall, crack free & comes w/a nice generic hard case.
