Febo Waanders / Waanders Grand Symphony Italian Spruce - Pau Ferro / Guitar

Febo Waanders Grand Symphony Cutaway model. This instrument strikes the perfect balance between tradition and innovative, tone-improving features. The Grand Symphony body shape is largely similar to the Grand Fingerstyle model only with a slightly smaller lower bout of 415mm instead of 418mm and a somewhat more traditional looking shape. But like it's Grand Fingerstyle sibling it was also built by our local tonewood-wizard Febo Waanders not only to sound good, but also to offer the most comfortable playing experience despite it's comprehensive body shape. It offers plenty in the way of comfort-improving features like a cutaway to reach the highest registers and an extremely nicely shaped 5-piece mahogany/maple/ebony neck with 44mm (1 3/4") nutwidth. This instrument delivers a rich sound with which both pickers and strummers will love with. The the fullness, volume and sustain is simply incredible and it has a big voice and perfect balance for the dynamic player. The body uses Pao Ferro (Santos) for the back and sides married to a nicely silked Italian Spruce top. Pau Ferro is not technically a rosewood and is less dense and less glassy-sounding. This intensely figured set of Pau Ferro  more closely resembles Walnut with a with fast, clean response that represents the entire spectrum of the tonal register well. Alpine/Italian spruce is of the same species as German spruce and very similar in tone. The appearance varies in that Alpine spruce is slightly more pink/tan (although still very white). It lends an instrument a more mature, complex and rich character when compared to Sitka spruce. It is truly no small feat building a guitar which sounds as good as this. This is where the Waanders design philosophy comes into play: style, stiffness, lightness, efficiency. To that end it features a unique carbon fiber flying buttress system for optimal stability (and the guarantee that you'll never need a neck-reset). This instrument travels safely in a hardshell case. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
