Good condition, 6,5/10, neck date 2SEP63B, neck plate indicates 1963 as well, but the body does not have the typical signs of 1963 (square indent in neck pocket and nail holes) which is why we think it is a 1965 (could also be a 66, 67 or 68 with the small pickup routes but lower numbers where made those years so 1965 seems most likely), double line Kluson tuners, single string tree, old refret but very worn frets, clay dots, the lower tone pot is dated 47th week of 1963 (3046347), the middle tone is dated 48th week of 1980 (1348048) and the volume pot is a DiMarzio, the switch has been replaced and is a 5-way, neck and bridge pickups are era-correct (1963 was the last year for black bottom pickups) Fender pickups but the middle pickup has been replaced, replaced claw screws (with flat head screws), original bridge and saddles, original mint green pickguard with filled holes between the neck and middle pickups, newer copper shielding under the pickguard, old OLW refin with matching headstock, has black residue in most cavities but a white undercoat, the bridge pickup cavity has been drilled to deepen, including mid 1965 until circa 1967 Fender black hardcase with orange lining and a Fender logo without tail on the top
