In a rather rare "Melon Candy" color (Journeyman Relic finish), this solid body electric guitar <strong>FENDER Custom Shop Limited Edition 1952 Telecaster 2017 (9238010216)</strong> is a very beautiful example made of hand-picked woods and hand-wound pickups (2-piece Ash body, Maple fingerboard, "52 Style U" neck profile, vintage/modern hybrid radius 7.25/9.5").
Delivered in a Fender Custom Shop case with certificate of authenticity.
The Fender Telecaster, Stratocaster, Jazzmaster or Jaguar are legendary electric guitars that are an integral part of the history of amplified music, having greatly contributed to its expansion and democratization.
The ideal would be to be the happy owner of an original example from the 50s or 60s, but the price of vintage instruments is so high that it is difficult for everyone to have access to it.
Concerning the Relic finish (for the models concerned): the dealers present at the NAMM 1995 were totally amazed by the level of realism of the first two Relic models that Fender presented to them that year, most of them took them for authentic original Fenders (they were a '51 Nocaster and a '56 Mary Kaye Stratocaster).
The Fender "relic" process is now completely accepted and constitutes the majority of Custom Shop sales.
