When you think of dealers in the great Southeast who have consistently come up with the coolest Cunetto Relics ever, you have to consider those two bastions of Southern gentility, the Duke Boys. This particular guitar is no exception and one of the finest examples of Vince's early work to surface in a good minute. It's a first year, three digit serial number Mary Kaye that weighs in at exactly....wait for it...7 lbs, 1 oz. You could play this guitar all night long and not realize you have it strapped on! I mean, a 7 pound Strat is worth trading your truck, your shotgun and your best huntin' dog for. Collectability aside, the feel of the neck and tone on this Strat places it heads and above most other relics we've acquired and I'm saying again that this thing almost begs to be played. It is yet another guitar that I had to virtually pry out of Lee's hands just to get these photos and then, it was right back with him working on his best Stevie Ray. But, I persisted and now we have the representation you see before you.
