You can bet your last Confederate dollar bill that if you see a relic Telecaster on our website, there's something special about it. Actually, there's two things going for this Tele and ultimately what got it taken back to the 'Elkcave: sustain and weight. The sustain on this thing is wicked- it's loud and articulate when played acoustically. When we plugged it into a '66 blackface Twin, the room was filled with spank and tone. I mean this things snarls and Lee had a good few minutes doing his best attempt at some chicken- pickin'. He may not be Jerry Reed, but this Tele would have certainly been worthy of Jerry's best day. The other superb attribute of this guitar is it's weight. 6 lbs, 8 oz is more than perfect for a Tele and you barely realize you have this guitar strapped on. It's a sure fire five- sets- a- night axe and you absolutely will not walk off the stage with your shoulders humped over. Rather, you'll probably be so fresh and feel so good, you'll walk up to the bar and order a round for the house.
