Fender Custom Shop / Stratocaster Peach Guitars 10th Yr Special / 2017 / Sonic Blue / Guitar For Sale
This is a bit of a mouthful but worth it... It is a 2017 Fender Custom Shop, sonic blue, 59 Journeyman Relic Stratocaster, Peach Guitars 10th year special. It features a roasted neck!, John Cruz pickups, Magnum locking tuners and it is a limited run made in 2017.
After all that has been said and done, it is a really nice CS Strat with some great sounding pickups custom spec'd by our friends at Peach Guitars. All the many specs are there for everyone to see on the various sheets that come with this guitar so you can drool over them at your leisure...
Designed to replicate the feel and sound of a 1959 Stratocaster, this guitar comes with a light relic treatment, part of Fender’s "Journeyman Relic" series, which gives it a slightly worn-in look and feel. The light wear includes subtle aging on the finish, checking in the lacquer, and hardware oxidation, mimicking decades of natural use without extreme distress.
The body is made from select alder, a wood prized for its balanced tonal characteristics, and finished in a nitrocellulose lacquer that allows the wood to breathe and resonate more freely. The soft Sonic Blue finish exudes a cool, classic vintage vibe, offering a stylish contrast to the lightly aged white pickguard and aged plastic parts.
The guitar’s roasted maple neck is shaped to a period-correct 1959 "C" profile, which is comfortable in the hand without being too chunky. It features a 9.5” radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 narrow jumbo frets, offering a balance between vintage playability and modern versatility, making it easy to bend notes while still retaining that vintage feel.
Equipped with the three John Cruz hand-wound Fender Custom Shop pickups, this Stratocaster delivers the clear, bell-like tones that made the '59 models famous. The pickups are controlled by a standard five-way switch, giving you access to a range of classic Stratocaster tones—from the chimey, scooped-mid quack of positions two and four, to the sparkling highs and defined lows characteristic of these guitars.
The hardware is lightly aged as part of the Journeyman Relic treatment, including vintage-style tuners, a synchronized tremolo bridge, and bent steel saddles. The attention to detail extends to the small things, like the slightly aged volume and tone knobs and the vintage-style Fender logo on the headstock, further enhancing its old-school appeal...
