This instrument was built by the masterbuilder John Cruz. Cruz began working for the Fender company in 1987 and became a master builder in 2003. Two projects that Cruz oversaw were the creation of the Stevie Ray Vaughan replica Stratocaster and the recreation of the 1961 Fiesta Red Stratocaster played by blues guitarist Gary Moore. This is a limited edition exact recreation of his famous White Blonde Esquire, used on his original recordings with The Yardbirds. The story goes that Beck bought the guitar for $60 in 1964 from the original owner - who tried to 'Stratify' the body with a top contour. The guitar went on through Becks career until he presented it as a gift to Seymour Duncan in 1974 who smartly kept it in his possesion up until Fenders recreation of it. John Cruz was the masterbuilder behind this one, getting every ding and scratch original to the guitar it was based on. It includes the original flight case, gigbag for easier transportation, and all of the original case candy and Jeff Beck Box Set accessories! This guitar is in mint, unplayed condition and is a perfect addition to any Fender Masterbuilder or Jeff Beck collection! Includes:
