Custom Colour Telecasters in the 60's are rare enough but to find a Custom Telecaster with the white body binding, in a cool custom colour is a real treat and this one is no exception.
Beautiful, largely unfaded all original Candy Apple Red with just about the right amount of wear to make it look very cool indeed....
All original body with no routes, touch ups or repairs. Headstock has had an extra string tree fitted at some stage and the back of the neck has what remains of a light, clear overspray. It is probably something you would not notice unless I told you about it and it looks like most of it has been removed, or worn off.
All pickups are original and both pots date to 1966 as you would expect. All hardware, including pickguard, tuners knobs etc are original and correct for late 1967.
Nice light weight of 3.35Kg, you will not get a hernia wearing this one and one thing that's nice about it is the body is very resonant and alive. I find this is always a good starting point for a great sounding Tele and this one is no exception...
Original case is included with what looks like the two outside latches replaced by newer ones.
Guitar has had a re-fret and because of this it plays really well with no problems in that area, in fact the re-fret is a very nice job with sympathetic, vintage stye frets and one of the best I have come across.
A real nice and rare 60's Custom Colour Custom Tele at a nice price... what more could you wish for?
