Highly likely the only one of it's kind, this 2016 Greg Fessler Masterbuilt Jazzmaster was a one-off custom order from one of Fender's European dealers and was the only one to ship to Europe and very likely worldwide. A true collectors piece and a genuine 'unicorn'. Mint condition. Find another, as they say.

Inspired by George Harrison's famous 'rooftop' all rosewood 1967 Fender Telecaster (a guitar specifically built by Fender as a gift for George) Fender's Masterbuilder Greg Fessler built an extremely limited run of rosewood Jaguars in 2016, but as far as we can see this is the only Jazzmaster that was built as part of this run. This has been confirmed by Fender Europe who have verified that this particular guitar was a one-off custom order and the only one of it's kind to ship to Europe. Extensive research by the previous owner and by ourselves has so far failed to identify another one in existence.

This guitar is in mint condition throughout and comes with the Certificate Of Authenticity, all the case candy including a toolkit and the original deluxe fender brown tolex case. There are some very light surface scratches on the pick guard where it has been occasionally played but other than this it is exactly as it was when it left the factory.

Sonically it sounds brighter than a regular Jazzmaster and offers more natural sustain. In fact the all rosewood construction has a lot more sustain than either an alder or ash bodied Fender. In essence it sounds somewhere between a Jazzmaster and Tele. The bridge pick up has lots of Tele like twang and the neck pick up has the warm, woody tone that would be associated with most Jazzmaster neck pick ups. The middle position sounds like it is wired out of phase for a unique, bright and hollow tone.

The neck profile is similar to a '63 medium to chunky Fender C profile and is very comfortable to play, with easy action all the way up the neck.
