Fender / Jaguar / 1965 / Lake Placid Blue / Guitar
Fender Jaguar 1965 Custom Colour Matching headstock.
Made in USA (August 1965)
Serial L99361
The Fender Jaguar was introduced as a high-end model guitar four years after the Jazzmaster. Though similar to the Jazzmaster in its offset body and lead/rhythem circuits controls, the Jaguar differed in two key ways. For one, the Jaguar used a shorter 24-inch scale length compared to the 25 1/2-inch of most Fender guitars. Additionally, the Jaguar used two thinner single-coil pickups compared to the feedback-prone soapbox pickups of the Jazzmaster.
This custom colour matching headstock in Lake Placid Blue is arguably the most prized spec out there! Super rare too! Overall the guitar is in lovely condition, standard wear and tear from 58 years of play, very authentic. All original inside and out. The neck has some lovely wear to it, feels really nice and smooth. Great tone from the pickups and all the controls are in working order!
Original hard case, bridge cover and tremolo arm.
Please feel free to email or call should you wish to try the guitar or if there’s any questions at all.
