Fender / Jazz Bass / 1964 / Sunburst / Bass
This bass has definitely not lived under the bed. All over there are signs of use though its not been abused. There is checking and honest playing wear all over. The top has worn as has the back but there is no real sign of fade. The covers are included
The neck, dated April 1964, has a worn to a comfortable sheen along its length. Again there are no dinks just wear to the lacquer. The frets have plenty of life left. The headstock shows a few signs of wear. The hardware is in good condition with only a little corrosion evident.
Plastics are in good shape with little or no shrinkage to the guard. Electronically everything is correct and all solder joints look untouched.
The bass comes with its correct Fender hardshell case
Sonically this bass is fantastic and there is a reason for the wear - it just plays and sounds so good! The neck pickup has so much body it never gets too muddy whilst the bridge cuts through with that all important JB growl. Together the tone takes on a little more of a scooped feel that brings out a more mellow side to the bass.
Nothing beats a sunburst Jazz Bass and this is a classic example. Grab it before its gone…
