Just in is another incredible original early CBS made “3-knob” Jazz Bass w/all Pre-CBS features in exceptionally clean shape, its has an original Sunburst finish over a lightweight Alder body, its “Unbound” Rosewood neck has a stamped neck date of October 1965, its original Tortoise-shell Nitro pickgard pulls this all together making it one of Fender’s best & last ones from its 1st gen Jazz Basses ever produced prior to the infamous “white bound” necks made by CBS, its 2 pickups are super smooth w/that quintessential “Jazz Bass” sound !, its pot codes date to the 42nd week of 1966 which was fairly a typical CBS made 1966 instrument, its so cool & original from its “Lollypop” tuners to its threaded saddle bridge, its all original in all respects & still retains its bridge & pickup covers & every single screw from new, this Jazz Bass is from the final leftovers from Leo’s earliest Pre-CBS days & has a gorgeous patina for a nearly 55 year old original, it plays & feels incredible, she’s very clean & weighs in at 9 lbs. 5 oz. w/both covers having killer sustain & tone qualities, 1 of the best of the final pure Leo Fender Pre-CBS featured examples on Earth, comes complete in her original Black Tolex Hard Case.
